Join us as an intern this fall at the Renee and Chaim Gross Foundation, located in the historic West Village townhouse and studio of modern American sculptor Chaim Gross (1904-91). Learn about arts administration, curating, collection care, and many other areas in one of New York City’s most fascinating historic homes. Open to college and graduate-level students.
Our fantastic former interns are now at places like: Museum of Modern Art, Gagosian Gallery, The Bill Smith Group, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Pictured at left is former graduate intern Kristen Windmuller, curator of our 2012 exhibit on Chaim’s Asante goldweight collection.
We seek an intern to assist with an upcoming exhibition project on American artists in Rome, c. 1950-60, and cataloging the Foundation’s art collection. Excellent opportunity for students interested in modernism, the history of collecting, non-profit management, curating, and the expanding field of artist’s foundations. Internship is unpaid. Please send resume and cover letter by Friday, September 14, 2012 to: Dr. Susan Fisher, Director, sfisher@rcgrossfoundation.org. No phone calls please.
