For over fifty years, Chaim Gross dedicated himself to teaching. He instructed hundreds of art students at the Educational Alliance in the Lower East Side, and was the founding teacher for sculpture at the New School for Social Research, also in New York City. In this spirit, a core component of the Foundation's mission is Education. We encourage teachers and students, docents, scholars, and community groups to visit our West Village location and to experience Chaim Gross's original studio and sculptures, as well as his renowned modern and African art collections, which remain installed today as they were in his home.
